Firstly, apologies for my recent silence on social media, email etc.
I have been off the grid. After the most hectic summer season yet for Gabriella Grace Cakes we finally tied the knot on 26th August! We had the most perfect wedding day at Doxford Barns and after years of planning, it was even better than I dreamed it could be! Following the wedding my husband and I jetted off to Bali for the honeymoon of a lifetime – I’d recommend Bali to everyone and anyone! We barely landed back home and were off again to our wonderful friends wedding in sunny Cyprus – it was honestly the best month of our lives. I feel so so grateful. During this time, I removed myself from work/socials to be able to really enjoy every second but now I’m back!
I have been overwhelmed with all of the well wishes I have received from my amazing clients and followers and am really feeling the love. I crashed straight back down to reality with 2 beautiful wedding cakes, a wedding fayre, open evening and an alarming amount of emails and messages to respond to but I am now up to date – at last! After listening to your feedback, I am in the process of making a photo book to be able to show potential clients examples of my work in print. I do agree it’s much better than trying to pull up small pictures on my phone and can give people an idea of some of the different design options I offer, that they might like to include on their own cake.
I’ve been trying to have a larger presence on social media after my break and have been posting more and more instagram stories and videos. I’ve done a few sped up videos of making cakes and they have gone down really well so I’m going to try and do more things like that.
I’m also trying to interact with you more by doing polls, Q&As etc and see what you want to see!
I suggested doing a recommended supplier feature every month (where possible) to shout out to some of the amazing vendors in the industry. This idea seemed to get really good feedback so I will be starting that on the blog sometime very soon.
